New Contact Details - If you have a question, or need more information on what we do, or maybe you would be interested in volunteering with us?  Email us via admin@thelongdonandsloughrun.org or give us call on 07746 950181.  We would love to hear from you.

The London & Slough Run continues every Monday evening (19.30 to 23.00) when we operate two feedstations at Temple and Waterloo distributing soup, sandwiches and other food. If you would like to join us then let us know as we are always glad to welcome new volunteers; the commitment is one Monday evening per month. Please bring your sandwiches, boiled eggs, soft fruit, crisps, drinks, individually wrapped cakes and small wrapped chocolate biscuit bars (such as penguins or kit-kats) to the Parish Centre by 12 noon on Monday.  You can leave your donations on the table just inside the door from 7:30am onwards. We regularly provision up to 200 people each week and we are back to pre-COVID levels as the hotels have emptied those homeless they were housing during the pandemic.

We ask that you mark each sandwich bag clearly, stating what the contents are. Preferred fillings are cheese, tuna, peanut butter, marmite or jam. Jars of peanut butter, marmite or jam for sandwiches would be most welcome.  Thank you sincerely for your continued support.

We continue to provide to needy families and community organisations in Slough and we have just opened (3/9/21) a new food re-distribution centre in Dukes House, Slough where we bring donated foodstuffs from local supermarkets, sort and re-distribute the following day.  The space was kindly donated rent free by the landlord and is being manned by volunteers based in Slough and the surrounding area. The number of families in need is sadly increasing as COVID and its economic fallout continues to take a toll.  Non-perishable goods such as breakfast cereals, rice, pasta, baked beans, tinned tomatoes, tuna or tinned meat are much appreciated.  Please leave your contributions at the Parish Centre any day of the week and we will deliver them on your behalf.

If you would like to contribute financially you can donate via our website or you can make a cheque payable to “London & Slough Run” and drop it through the letterbox at the Priory. Given the increased need, we are running our two vans even more these days and we rely exclusively on donations. We do not have any employees and all donations go directly to fund the operation.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANYTHING OTHER THAN FOOD.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions we do not have the volunteers to sort any other donations.  We do not require any clothing, bed linen or china at present.  All our clothes storage facilities are now completely full.

Thank you for your generosity - it is making a big difference to the lives of many.
